SAN JOSE — A large hotel is in the works for a web site that is near to a transit-oriented community in downtown San Jose that Google has proposed, a fresh indicator the tech titan’s challenge could spur more improvement.

The resort would be designed at 945 W. Julian St. at the corner of Morrison Avenue in the Yard Alameda district of San Jose, which is just west of the city’s downtown, according to metropolis organizing documents.

The website is owned by an affiliate managed by executives with San Jose-based development enterprise Echelon.

The hotel would be 9 stories large and consist of 154 rooms, in accordance to a preliminary proposal on file with town planners.

The advancement programs for the lodge suggest that an current little office environment constructing on the web site be bulldozed to clear the way for the hospitality project. The development web-site is a bit about .2 acres in dimension, the ideas at Town Corridor exhibit.
