The Lawrence County Sheriff’s Place of work is investigating a taking pictures that took spot early on Sunday morning at a South Issue resort.
According to a press launch from the sheriff’s office, all around 5:35 a.m. on Sunday, the business office received a phone about a capturing at the Place Fireside Inn and Suites in South Point.
Deputies arrived 7 minutes later and in home 322, found the 27-calendar year-old Brianna Bond had been shot 2 times in the shoulder space of the upper torso.
She instructed deputies that she was the occupant of the area and that Frank T. Hill, 48, of Ironton, experienced used the night.
The two experienced a combat, which ended with Bond currently being shot.
She was transported by Lawrence County EMS to Cabell Huntington Healthcare facility for procedure of accidents that did not seem to be daily life threatening.
Hill experienced fled the hotel and deputies commenced a look for of the surrounding spot.
Officers located garments believed to belong to Hill in the vicinity of the wood line location powering the lodge. An in depth look for of the region was conducted, and about 7 a.m., Hill was uncovered a couple of blocks away, hiding beneath a discarded couch that was in a 25-foot embankment by a creek.
He was taken into custody without the need of incident and transported to the Lawrence County Jail.
Hill did give a statement to detectives and recommended them he had discarded the firearm as he still left the hotel. It was recovered close to the resort.
Hill is currently being housed in the Lawrence County Jail on felonious assault, a 2nd-degree felony.
He will be arraigned at 9 a.m. Monday at the Lawrence County Municipal Courtroom.
This investigation is continuing.
