Hosting is basically somewhere to place your website on the internet and everything that you put on your website, the content, the media and any other files you want to transfer to your website. The hosting company stores your files on a server, this is a computer which is switched on 24 hours a day everyday (or at least it should be) so that people can access your website and its files.
These are the things I recommend to look for in a hosting package-
Unlimited bandwidth:
Bandwidth is the transfer of data, this even includes data usage from people viewing your website, downloading files, media and obviously the pages on your website (this cost is then passed on to you). If/when your website becomes popular (which is what we’ll be aiming for after we’ve set everything up) then it is extremely important to purchase a hosting plan with unlimited bandwidth.
Unlimited discspace:
Discspace is important because it’s the storage size your hosting allows you to have. I’d also recommend finding a hosting package with unlimited discspace because you don’t know how much content you are going to create in the future and i can tell you if you’re anything like me you’re going to want to create plenty of valuable content to help your clients.
24/7 Support:
On the hosting that I recommend they offer 24/7 support and customer service. Believe me this can add relief when you need their help, you can sort out any problems there and then. You don’t want to have to wait for office hours for support, this can be extremely frustrating.
Control panel:
For your control panel I’d recommend c-panel. This is the most popular control panel and you’ll find that most web hosts provide c-panel. Make sure the hosting company you’re thinking about choosing provides c-panel and i will show you how to use this. You can use c-panel for a number of important functions such as setting up and using your business email (this service is free). You can use it for adding new domains (websites) and subdomains.Transfer files to your c-panel via FTP client (File Transfer protocol) from your computer. And of course set up your WordPress site.
Conclusion/recommendation:
All in all I recommend hostpapa.com for your hosting because it has all of these attributes. I went with hostpapa.com and they really have lived up to everything I’ve mentioned above to date and they really do go out of their way to help you when/if you need there support.
