Need a backpack for traveling or school? Check out the North Face’s 30% off sale

Is there a place a backpack cannot go? Fill it, flip it over your shoulder and take off. Here’s another perk: Get 30% off select backpacks during The North Face’s sale this weekend, Aug. 14-16.

The traditional backpack might not be needed this year to accompany your child to school, but packs still can keep supplies in one place to move from the kitchen table to a desk in the bedroom.

Borealis backpacks, in 25 colors, and two sizes — 27 and 28 liter — on sale for $62.30 each, have an improved suspension system for comfort. There are dedicated compartments such as padded, protective laptop and tablet sleeves and stretch-mesh water bottle pockets plus an external bungee cord to lash on more gear.

Back-to-school packs on sale include the Youth Recon Squash backpack ($35), which can fit a standard (9.5-inch by 12-inch) folder and water bottles.

And there is a Kid’s Sprout daypack ($24.50) for young explorers, age two to four, to carry their own juice box, snacks and souvenirs.

Shipping is free and the price can be paid in installments.
