Police claimed the 8-12 months-old’s dying was initial reported as a drowning, but now the few is dealing with felony prices.
HOUSTON — A mother and her spouse have been charged in relationship with the demise of a baby in a west aspect hotel room, Houston law enforcement explained.
Law enforcement explained the death, originally noted as a drowning, happened at the Excellent Inn & Suites in the 2900 block of W. Sam Houston Parkway late Tuesday night time.
Police and firefighters responded around 11 p.m. to a next-flooring place, according to Assistant Chief W. Baimbridge with the Houston Law enforcement Office.
Paramedics done CPR on the 8-yr-outdated boy and then took him to the clinic exactly where he was pronounced dead.
Baimbridge claimed the boy’s mother, 24-calendar year-outdated Kayla Holzendorf, and her typical-legislation partner 28-year-outdated Dominique Lewis, had been in the hotel space at the time. They are each experiencing charges in link with the child’s dying.
“We believe that this to be domestic violence-linked, and we are investigating this now with our homicide division … we suspect foul play,” Baimbridge claimed. “We are searching at both mom and boyfriend and interviewing them at this time.”

Officers stated the baby was uncovered on the floor in the middle of the area. The officers and paramedics observed numerous injuries on the boy’s body that they reported ended up not consistent with drowning.
The loved ones did not live at the lodge, nor was it a long-phrase rental, police explained.
Holzendorf and Lewis are each individual charged with injury to a boy or girl and tampering with proof, in accordance to HPD.
