Google looks to be testing a new look for carousel that allows you refine your lodge searches for a new destination. So if you look for for motels in new york, Google may well say maybe as a substitute lookup for motels in new jersey – or a little something like that.

In this article is an instance of this in motion from Lluc Penycate on Twitter who mentioned “First time viewing a location refinement slider for resort queries, proper previously mentioned the Resort 4 Pack.” It does look new to me, in this article is his monitor shot (click on to enlarge):

I ponder if this examination will occur to a lot more folks. I really don’t comprehend why another person who searches for a lodge in a certain area would appreciate viewing Google propose they appear elsewhere?

Update: I spoke to Google about this and they told me that that this is an current version (i.e. not new) of the Lodges device on Google Research, it initially released in December 2020 for desktop browsers. That this only ought to look when the user does not specify a area in their question.
