Shots and films from Chinese condition media showed people viewing two polar bears in an indoor enclosure that includes artificial ice and smaller swimming pools of water.
Yang Liu, a spokeswoman for Harbin Polarland, explained to Reuters that the indoor space is only section of the bears’ total enclosure, and that they are permit outside when temperature and air high quality allow.

Conservationists criticized the resort.
“Polar bears belong in the Arctic, not in zoos or glass containers in aquariums — and unquestionably not in motels,” Jason Baker, senior vice president at animal rights team PETA, explained to Reuters. “Polar bears are active for up to 18 hrs a day in nature, roaming house ranges that can span thousands of miles, where by they take pleasure in a true lifestyle.”
